A gorgeous me...

“Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair ~Kahlil Gibran”…
Remembered these lines while my feet bounced with delight… while I could feel the breeze stroking my hair… while my smile stretched from one ear to the other… while I felt all the more gorgeous… while I stepped out of the beauty salon after a haircut…

Hair is such a personal thing that with one glance in the mirror and a sign of bad hair can ruin ones day, good hair can lift ones confidence… so it is only natural that one feels buoyant when these very hair are pampered and treated finely… give them in the hands of a hair dresser or hair stylist and they create wonders with the tresses… it amazes me to see how these people treat the hair with great ease and affection… I have never looked at my hair so passionately as these stylists do every single time… its like some magic, magic where I place my lifeless, frizzy tangles in their hands and they seem to instill life into them…

Howmuch ever I take care of them myself, attend to them everyday with the same creams and oils and serums, they never look as radiant as they do after a visit to the salon, wonder why… It is an art which I am yet to master…. An art to work on something as ordinary as hair, yet carve out distinctive shapes and forms from them… more importantly, an art where rather than playing with the strands, it is crucial to play with the mind below those strands…

But I am not complaining… as everytime I walk out of the salon with gleaming hair (which last for a day or two only !!), I can feel my fingers playing with them, can feel the wind blowing through them… can feel a renewed confidence in me … can feel awe and admiration around me… can feel a gorgeous me… :):)
