There are many ‘firsts’ that we remember… first day at college, first day at work, first bike ride, first time in aeroplane and many more… recently one more thing got added to my list of ‘firsts’… my first BMW ride… well, have been driven in couple of other high end cars as well… but honestly don’t remember first rides of any of those… because either these would have been test drives or the cars would belong to some colleagues/clients and I was only offered a formal ride/lift to work or back home…
But this BMW ride was different than all of them… reason being that this chic car was just bought by one of our close friends (here in India!!)… it is always a very special feeling to see close ones rise to newer heights and we being able to share their success and the joy that comes with it…

I met this friend a few years back while we were charting out our individual lives and struggling to make our footprints visible… we continued to be part of each others lives in one way or the other, as we settled down over a period of time, never once losing sight of each others’ existence… while I have seen him achieve one milestone after the other and move ahead with great self-belief, it now gave me immense satisfaction to see him surge to newer level of prosperity with the stylish sedan… I was thoroughly excited to be driven in his ‘hard-earned’ BMW and could feel a sense of pride in him while he explained every minute feature of the car in detail… It is a wonderful car indeed and I enjoyed every moment of being in it… the ‘plush’ feeling is still lingering on my mind…

Just want to let my friend know that he is a very special person and we are very proud of him… while he spoke of his other dreams on this BMW ride, I started imagining him hosting us at a duplex apartment on Marine Drive (that will be my ‘first’ experience of ‘sea-facing home’)… I pray that each of your dreams come true my friend and hope to be part of them so that you add many more ‘firsts’ to my list…
